Who is She? Bomani Woman (Episode 1)

Jewellery is more then body adornment, it is a personal style, an expression of who we are and a way of life. I want you to meet some of the people who make up our Bomani Tribe™ and bring our jewellery collections to life.

So allow me to introduce Nicole who features in our new jewellery campaign: VICTORY
She is a model/actress from London with Indian and Israeli descent, her beauty is mesmerising and her inner glow shines bright through her smile.  I was really excited to work with her and see her come alive in front of the camera.

Meet Vintageena: The Green Goddess

A few months ago I met the fabulous blogger/vlogger/fashionista Vintageena via Instagram and for the last few months she has been seen rocking our #BomaniWoman ASHANTI & KALANI Faux Septum Rings in her style post. The Bomani Woman collection is about being yourself and expressing your own style so we were so excited to interview Vintageena as she is the epitome of versatility, originality and glamour and we wanted to get to know a bit more about this stylish woman…

You have such amazing style and are a true fashion chameleon, where do you get your style inspiration from?
Sincerely, I’m not a trend seeker. If I like a skirt or a sweater, or some fabric or the way the dress is made, I simply like it. After I have that piece in my wardrobe, the fun begins. I put all my creativity to do something with that item. I try not to put limits or boundaries when it comes to fashion, that’s why my style is so chameleonic, because I love to take risks and play with clothes. And I looove to learn new things, to combine different items, patterns, fabrics. Of course Instagram is my inspiration and every time I feel like I have to charge myself, my news feed will take care of my fashionista soul.

As a designer I try and design jewellery that empowers the wearer.  What person, object or fashion piece makes you feel empowered and why.
The person who empowers me is my love aka my boyfriend, Alex, who’s giving me power and share with me his amazing energy. He’s very creative and since I’ve met him, I’m the way you see me on my social platforms, happy, creative, enjoying my life and makin my dreams come tru with my blog.

Who are your hero’s dead or alive and why?
Hmmm…you surprised me with this question because I was thinking and I don’t know what to answer. I don’t have a hero or something like this, I guess I’m my own hero. Everyday, I do things to know myself better, I push myself to work harder, to be more creative and to develop my potential even more. Because we are more than we think we are. And in those moments when you feel like giving up, those are the moments who really matter in this life, because thank of them, we become the persons we want to become.

You create stunning visuals and videos, how did you learn all the technique and what advice would
you give to other inspiring bloggers/vloggers/fashionistas?

Thanks :). I learnt back in the days when I was working on television. I used to take interviews to fashion designers in Romania and after that, I had to edit those videos. I didn’t edit by myself, I had an editor who made all the things that I said to him. And watching him editing, I learnt the editing software. After that, it’s all about practice and having an artistic eye. I like sooo much to edit on the beat and I’m lucky to have a talented boy, Alex, who learnt so many tricks while he was filming me, so when I have to edit the video, it’s very easy because I have plenty of materials to play with :). If someone begins this job, first of all they have to be passionate to do this. After, you need a strong computer with a minmium 4GB RAM and an editing software. With an internet connection, you can have access on all of youtube tutorials where you can learn the basics. After that, the artistic eye will do the rest.

What can we expect to see from Vintageena in the next few months?
I’m planing with my team, aka my boyfriend and Lyky, the graphic designer who made my awesome blog, to change a lil bit the interface of my blog. I need a change. Something pretty simple, classy but sassy. I’m thinking of a logo because I don’t have one and I think I need one symbol in my life, something with the V shape of course. And a lot of new and crazy collabs  + tons of videos cuz I’m so much into this.

Do you have a favourite quote or poem that makes you feel motivated and empowered?
“With realization of one’s own potential and self-confidence in one’s ability, one can build a better world.” Dalai Lama

Finally if you could invite 4 guests from anywhere in the world to dinner who
would they be?
I would invite Elliphant, Diplo and MSMR. They seem really nice people.
